This Privacy Policy explains how Gupzy ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and mobile application (together, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign up or log in (via Google Sign-In or email/password), we collect your name, email address, and profile photo.
• Content you provide: Videos, reels, comments, likes, subscriptions, channel details, and any other content you upload or create using the Service.
• Camera and microphone: If you use the "Go Live" feature, we access your device camera and microphone only while you are actively broadcasting.
• Usage data: Basic interaction data such as videos viewed, likes, watch time, and device/browser type, used to operate and improve the Service.

Contacts (Android app, optional)

If you choose "Find friends from your contacts", the app reads the phone numbers in your address book on your device and converts each one into a one-way hash before sending it to our server. We never upload contact names or raw numbers. We use the hashes only to find people who are on Gupzy and have also saved your number, so you can chat and call without following each other. Your verified Google e-mail (and phone number, if you added one) is stored only as a hash. You can stop at any time from the Contacts screen, which deletes your contact data and links.

2. How We Use Information

• To operate core features: video/reel playback, uploads, comments, likes, subscriptions, and live streaming.
• To maintain your account and authenticate you securely.
• To improve app performance, fix issues, and personalize the content feed.
• To display advertising, as described below.

3. Advertising & Cookies

We may display ads through third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense/AdMob. These providers may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites/apps.

4. Data Storage & Security

Account and content data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Storage services). We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only with:

• Service providers (e.g., Firebase/Google Cloud) that help us operate the app.
• Advertising partners, in aggregated or anonymized form, to serve relevant ads.
• Authorities, if required by law.

6. Your Choices

• You can edit or delete your account content from within the app.
• You can revoke camera/microphone permissions at any time from your device settings.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising via your Google account ad settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

9. Paid Video Promotion

Creators who wish to pay to have their video featured/promoted in the app's feed for a limited time can contact us directly through our official WhatsApp group to discuss the video link, duration, and payment:

Any promotion arrangement (video, duration, and payment) is agreed upon directly between you and Gupzy through that group. We do not store or process payment information within the app itself.
